Wound Healing and Management Node

The WACEIHP was granted approval to establish the Wound Healing and Management Node within JBI COnNECT + in 2009. The Australian Wound Management Association (AWMA) is a joint partner with JBI in this venture.

The Wound Healing and Management Node aims to:

  • Accurately inform clinicians, patients and policy makers of the best available evidence on wound management that is currently available and is shaping the application of that knowledge in the clinic and in the community.
  • Ensure that the evidence provided remains relevant by being reviewed and updated on an annual basis.

Two reference groups comprising of professionals with expertise in wound healing and management, review and contribute to the development of evidence-based summaries and recommended practices. These resources provide health professionals from a wide spectrum of specialties access to a summary of the best, currently available evidence, and the recommended practices that guide clinical application.

Approved evidence summaries, recommended practices and suggestions for audit criteria are available through JBI COnNECT+. A Portable Document Format File Type taxonomy of topics relating to wound healing and management guide the development of evidence-based summaries; additional topics can be included and suggestions are welcome.
